To reflect the structure of the Retail Divisions, there are two new roles of Divisional Optical and Pharmacy Operations Manager. Reporting to the General Manager of Pharmacy and Optical, your role will be to lead the regional coach team in your Division to drive outperformance and operating standards across both categories. You will work with your counterpart in the North/South and with the Centre to support the development and delivery of strategies for:-
• Improved recruitment and retention of professionals
• Outstanding departmental standards and training at SOL
• Performance/underperformance management
• Legal Compliance.
You will equally develop streamlined operational programmes for your team to support the landing of Key Trading Initiatives or Change Programmes.

| Responsibilities: |
• Act as 'Pharmacy and Optical retail liaison' for the Operations Director and Divisional People Manager in the North. Become an integral part of their team.
• Support strategy Development at the centre in the areas described in the role description
• Develop action plans with your team to ensure delivery of strategy
• Lead Weekly/Monthly performance reviews with your team
• Develop and manage a succession plan for your team whilst engaging professionals in the field.
• Maintain accurate records to track progress, escalate issues and celebrate success
• Support the Pharmacy Superintendent and Optical professional Services Manager in ensuring your team drive legal compliance through the line at store level

| Requirements and Qualifications: |
- Already operating at senior manager level and have the respect of senior management within the business or industry.
- A track record of developing strategy and action plans which have been successfully implemented
- A track record of influencing relationships
- A track record of coaching and developing individuals to maximise potential
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- A track record of landing change within teams
- A professional Qualification in Pharmacy or Optical would be an advantage although not essential.
- Valid driving licence
- Prepared to travel away from home and drive long distances
