We are looking for a People Manager to join the Asda House People Team. This is an operational role that will suit an enthusiastic team player who can operate independently with confidence and credibility. The candidate should have a sound People background and be looking to develop a broader set of skills and keen to progress the People Agenda in Asda House. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a candidate who enjoys a challenge combined with the variety of a generalist role that requires close interaction with Business Partners at all levels. |
| Responsibilities: |
- To develop and implement divisional people plans with Directors and Heads of function driving the people agenda with key stakeholders;
- To follow through the Asda House Business Plan, taking accountability for delivering particular projects and cascading people messages;
- To provide pragmatic support and coaching to the line on People issues including employment law, performance management, colleague costs, training and development, team development and change management;
- To manage core People activities including performance management, colleague relations issues, succession and resource planning and the promotion process;
- Champion the Asda values and leadership behaviours and driving improvements through the Line / Colleague Circles;
- To contribute to and participate in the development of People ‘best practice’ for ASDA House working with the specialist policy teams to ensure tools / policies created are fit for purpose
- To support the Operations Team and other Asda House People Team overall operational people activities as required.

- Excellent communication skills;
- CIPD qualified
